LUNCH BUNCH September 8, 2015

Another beautiful day in Zanesville, OH for our lunch with 22 classmates and friends present today.

Bill Rushay very kindly gave the blessing today.  Thank you, Bill.

It is time for our 60th class reunion, and all through the house, I checked each mirror, and begged my poor spouse to say I looked great, my tummy is flat, my hair color is right, no white hair in sight, and my wrinkles smoothed out if I do not laugh.  And then my brain gave me a kick and I remembered how great to reminisce with friends, how good old friends are for our spirit, and how a chance to share happy memories never wears out!

So now I can't wait to see each and every one of you on October 2, 3, and 4!

Friday will be at 5 PM at Bryan's Place for a casual get together (the old YWCA where memories abound) with deli food buffet, coffee, tea, soft drinks and cash bar.

Saturday at Vista Greenhouse Banquet Facility at 5 PM for registration and social hour, 6 PM three-entree buffet dinner, 7 PM brief class meeting and memorial service.  Entertainment will be by "Soul Legacy" and DJ Dylan Daniels.

Sunday Service at 10 AM led by Rev. Harry Bronkar at Bryan Place with buffet brunch after the service.

It was so nice to talk with Sondra Philip today after I got home, and hear she is excited to see everyone too.  And so nice to chat with Mary Smith White in Clearwater, FL and hear she will be at the reunion and will help with registration.  We will miss her husband, John, since he just started a new job and is unable to make it.

Gwen and Jack Downing are back from Florida and present today as well as Melanie Sterling who was able to make it since her bridge was changed to another day.  Anita Coffey gave a brief report regarding her committee for registration at the reunion.  Donna Iden and Gwen discussed center pieces for the tables on Saturday evening.  Melanie Sterling, our treasurer, reported we have approximately 85 signed up for Saturday.  Please get your form mailed in to Melanie for the events you can attend as soon as possible.  If for some reason you do not know until the last minute if you can attend, please just come if you can!  The more the merrier.

We will have lunch next month at the Golden Corral on Tuesday, October 13 at 11:30 as usual.  I am looking forward to seeing all of you then.

Don't count the years....count the memories!
