LUNCH BUNCH November 10, 2013

This was a dreary, cloudy, rainy day!  Almost no one stayed home.  We had 27 classmates and friends still chatting about our 60th reunion, and the awesome post reunion letter sent to all of us by Gwen Downing!  Her letter recounted every little thing we did at the reunion.  She deserves more than a dozen roses for all of the work she has done for our class over the years.  For those of you unable to attend, my hope is that after reading Gwen's post reunion letter, you feel like you had attended.  Thank you, Gwen.

Bill Factor very kindly gave the blessing today.  Thank you, Bill.  Then the chatting and eating began!

We had both Donna Smith Iden and Donna Smith Clayton at the lunch today.  It has been quite a while since I have seen Donna Clayton, and we hope she returns.  Barbara Gossett Harris returned to our lunch, with last month being the first time in years.  Cornelia arrived with her friend, Theresa, who is a big help to her.  After the lunch they were going to do some work at Cornelia's Zanesville home.  It was nice seeing Dolores and David Roberts at the lunch today.  Delores said David is having a good day.

We signed a get well card for Mary Elizabeth Brown Hinkle since she is having a pacemaker put in.  We wish her well!  Bill Rushay had hernia surgery two weeks ago, but he was at the lunch today feeling great!

Carol Hansel, sister of Dixie Knowlden Gilliland, passed away on 11/8.  We send our condolences to the family and to our our classmate, Dixie.

As most of you know, Maryanna Fenton and Sondra Philip have made arrangements for our Christmas Party at BRYAN PLACE on Tuesday December 8 at 11:30.  The price per person is $20, which includes the gratuity, to be paid at Bryan Place.  RESERVATIONS are needed.  If you have not signed up to go, please call Donna Iden at 740-452-8019.  If you find you are unable to attend, please also call Donna to CANCEL.  We must pay for all reservations made!

We will be donating canned goods, money, or non-perishables to the Mount Sterling Food Pantry.  Kinsey Tanner has once again volunteered to deliver these items.  Thank you in advance, Kinsey.

Forever on Thanksgiving the heart will find a pathway home.  On this particular day in America, the concept of giving gratitude and thanks surfaces in almost every home.  Have a peaceful, blessed, and happy Thanksgiving!

I look forward to seeing all of you next month for our Christmas party at Bryan Place at 11:30.
