We had a very rainy day, but 26 classmates turned out today for lunch, fun, and chatting.  Even Bob Ross attended today with Jean since he didn't want to play golf in the rain!

Sue Squire Richardson's husband, Jerry Richardson, said the blessing for us today.

Maryanna Fenton walked in today as though she had not had surgery on her knee.  Her total knee replacement six weeks ago went beautifully, and she is walking without pain!  That is the way it should work.

Sissy and David Roberts were off on the Freedom Bus to gamble in Indiana on a boat.  Lets hope they come back with buckets of money.

We discussed the ZHS final farewell on May 22 from 12 noon to 6 PM.  The tables for each class will be set up in the gym, and the program including the opening of the Time Capsule will be at 3 PM in the auditorium.  Gwen Moore Curry brought old newspapers of the Zanesville Signal from 1955, which were lots of fun to read.  Pictures from the 1955 prom, and lots of pictures of our champion basketball team were included in the articles.  She brought a brick from the old Lash High School building with a picture of the building on it as well as a lot of other pictures.

Gerald said the Time Capsule has been located and dug up.  We are wanting a big turnout from our class, and all the other classes on May 22.  Carl and Becky Factor from New Jersey as well as Fritzie Levison Urquhart  from California will try to be there.  It should be a wonderful farewell to our Zanesville High School.

We all signed a card today for Linda Achauer Steer.  Her husband, Roland, recently passed away.  Our thoughts and prayers are with her and her family.

Most of us, swimming against the tides of trouble the world knows nothing about, need only a bit of praise or encouragement - and we will make the goal. ~ Jerome Fleishman

I hope to see all of you next month on Tuesday, June 8 at the Golden Corral at 11:30 AM.
