LUNCH BUNCH JUNE 12, 2007
I was unable to attend today, so Jane Caldwell kindly took notes for me to send to Tom Hale.
There were 17 classmates at the Golden Corral for the June 12 lunch. It was a beautiful day, so perhaps golf was to blame for the small crowd.
Shirley was busy supervising painters at her home, so we didn't have any announcements today. She was missed and we hope to see her in July.
Martha Pettry entertained EVERYONE with a style show featuring her darling summer outfit. Way to go Martha!
There was NO bad news to discuss which was GREAT!
Since we had such a small group today, we got a chance to talk with everyone which was fun.
Next month we will decide on a date to go to the 94th AeroSquadron.
"Remember, true friendship is like sound health; the value of it is seldom known until it is lost." By Charles Caleb Colton
I hope to see all of you at the next lunch bunch on Tuesday, July 10.
Following is a note received from Barb Williamson:
Thank you for the beautiful pink rose you sent in Debbie's memory. It was the first flower I saw at the funeral home. It reminded me so much of her -- so delicate, sweet and fragile.
We are comforted by all the notes and thoughts sent to us by the class. What a wonderful class it is! We are thankful for all of you.
