"You're only here for a short visit.  Don't hurry, don't worry.  And be sure to smell the flowers along the way."
~Walter Hagen

Bill Factor very kindly gave the blessing today for our 20 classmates and friends. He reminded us of the Dr Seuss books which we read to our children years ago, 1960's.  He reminded us of Star-belly or plain belly Sneetches, and how pointless prejudice can be and how costly, and why can't we all just get along!  What we learned fifty or sixty years ago still pertains to us in the twenty-first century.  Thank you, Bill.

We had a beautiful, sunny, hot day today.

I was so very surprised and happy to see Sonnie Philip today.  She had triple bypass surgery five weeks ago and will start rehab in the next couple of weeks.
Gwen and Jack Downing were very thoughtful, and picked Sonnie up and took her home.

Also, we were blessed to see David and Sissy Roberts.  Sissy was in the hospital  for seven days and their daughter took off work to stay with David.  They are both doing well now,  and we hope they continue to do well.

Bill Rushay and Marlene were present today.  He had his full body scan to see if the removal of his kidney, and the huge cancerous tumor had left any cancer cells last month.  And they found none!  What great news!

In two weeks, Sue Richardson has her scan , and we just hope she gets the same good news.  Please keep her in your prayers.  She has ordered a lift to help her get out of bed due to her rheumatoid arthritis, which is a very crippling disease.

I just learned that Shelby Hina had hip replacement!  We are all wishing her well and hope to see her next month.

Mary Elizabeth (Liz) Brown Hinkle is still at Amber Park Assisted Living at 401 Hill Road N, Apt 220, Pickerington, OH 43147.  Cards are appreciated.

Maryanna Fenton is with her daughter, Jane, who has had hip replacement in Chicago.  Maryanna's son just passed on June 15.  We will continue to keep the family in our thoughts and prayers, and hope to see Maryanna back next month.

Sadly we lost another classmate.  Allan (Scottie) Robinson.  Prayers to his family also.  Scottie has been a minister for the last fifty years!

"Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer's day, listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time."  ~ John Lubbock

I hope to see all of you next month at the Golden Corral Aug. 9 at 11:30.
