OHIO STATE 42, OREGON 20!  Buckeyes show grit and rise to the top!  What an amazing game.  My brother sat at the game in Arlington, TX with his two sons, daughter-in-law, and three grandchildren, who are all Duck fans, in his red buckeye gear!  Yes, he stood out in all that green, but was proud to wear the red!  Jim Tressel showed at the title game in buckeye colors!

We had 15 for lunch on this cold wintry day, but the sun was out making it beautiful and bright!

Message from Donna Swope:  Please tell everyone at the lunch we said "hi."  Also that we were thinking of all of them during last night's game, Ohio State - Oregon.  We were so excited Ohio State won.   GO BUCKEYES!

Carolyn Lanning sent me a short note saying she was hoping to make it for lunch this month.  But I guess now I will not because of a reaction to the Nexium.  Dr. has me on Dexilant now, and I hope this works for me.  Please tell our classmates "Hi and I wish them well."  We hope to see her and Sonny next month.

Gwen and her husband, Jack Downing, are in Florida.  I am not certain for how long.

Pat and Jim Burkhart will be leaving next Tuesday for Florida and will be returning the last week in March.

Kinsey Tanner reported that his wife is still doing well on the chemo she is on.  He is hoping they can take a trip somewhere Marty would like to go for a vacation soon.  Marty has continued to be filled with energy and a positive attitude.  We certainly wish her and Kinsey well.

Bob Ross is eight weeks out from having spine surgery.  He now has two plates in the lumbar area.  He says he still has pain, but is just now starting physical therapy and hopes that will help.  He has a damaged rotator cuff, which he is trying to live with, and his doctor said a reverse replacement is the only thing that would help him.  Eventually he will need a knee replacement also.  He is looking great!  Good luck, Bob!

The last time I talked with Cornelia, she said that Bill has switched to The James for his treatment and has a new oncologist.  We hope he continues to do well.

We were sorry to learn that Allen Arthur "Buddy" Abele passed away on December 28 peacefully from cancer at the Hamrick Hospice House in Okeechobee, FL.  His obituary is on our WEB site under NEWS.  Our sympathy goes out to his family.

Keep the dates October 2, 3 and 4 on your calendar for our 60th class reunion.  It will be held at the Vista View Golf Club Greenhouse Facility.

It was nice to have a small group for a change.  We all got to talk with each other.  I learned that we have two robbers in our class who admitted they stole from Woolworth's.  One of them said they still feel guilty and stated it was a little pad of paper that was taken!  I will not tell you who they are since they are such nice people, and were very young when they committed this act!

I hope to see more of you next month on February 10, 2015 at 11:30 at the Golden Corral.  Remember, if the Zanesville City Schools are closed due to bad weather, we will not have our lunch!
