I'm a little bit older, a little bit wiser, a little bit rounder, but still none the wiser. ~Robert Paul

The snow storm did arrive in the Columbus area around 9:15 AM on Tuesday the 11th.  The Columbus group stayed home warm and cozy around their fireplaces.  The Zanesville area classmates did meet.  I received an E-mail from Martha Pettry saying there were 6 who showed up for lunch.  Jean and Bob Ross, Shelby, Gerald, Lois, and of course Martha.  The Zanesville Schools were open on Tuesday, but I noted that today they were closed since the snow arrived there later in the day on Tuesday evening.

Tom Hale said they got 4 inches in Michigan, and he and Mary Ellen are ready to cross country ski again!

Martha said they laughed over an hour and a half.  Lois arrived late so Martha told her she showed up just in time, because she was next on the list of people they were talking about!  Martha told a couple of jokes that her dad told her years and years ago.  You will have to ask her about the one regarding Princess Elizabeth and Prince Philip!

Bill Factor asked Martha to report that the Principal of Zanesville High wants to talk with us at the February meeting.

We want to give our condolences to the family of Nancy Carter Gildersleeve.  Our dear classmate passed on December 29 after a long battle with leukemia.  Our sympathy also goes to Barbara Rath Bauer and her family on the passing of her husband, Ron, on December 23.  They will both be missed.

I hope to see all of you on Tuesday February 8, 2011 at 11:30 AM at the Golden Corral.  Remember, if the Zanesville Schools are closed for bad weather, there will be no lunch.

And now we have a new year, so cheers to another chance for us to get it right!
