LUNCH BUNCH February 10, 2015

It is a beautiful and sunny, but cold, 27 degree day in Zanesville.  We had 17 classmates and friends present at our lunch today.

With Valentine's Day right around the corner, all you need is love, but a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt. ~ Charles M. Schultz

I noted that Anita Coffey had a valentine pin on her vest today, so she is ready!

Bill Factor very kindly gave the blessing today.  Bill said he has talked with Gwen, who is in Florida with Jack.  She has quit her four jobs, or is that an exaggeration?  I know she had at least three.  Knowing how much Gwen loves being busy, many of us were not certain if she would like being in Florida so long.  But she says she is loving it!

Sue Richardson said she had her annual lung scan, and everything is still normal since her lung cancer almost five years ago.  Congratulations to Sue!

The snow birds, Sue and Chuck Gause, and Pat and Jim Burkhart are enjoying Florida also.

Carl and Becky Factor recently went to Florida to visit their daughter.  I am not certain if they are still there or not.

Please keep Marty Tanner, and Bill Ferguson in your prayers.  Bill started a new chemo regimen yesterday for his cancer.  We hope and pray that it will make the cancer cells smaller or eliminate them altogether.   Marty is on oral chemo pills, 14 days on and then off for 14 days.  Kinsey says he truly believes it is all our prayers that is keeping Marty going.  She is definitely an inspiration to all of us.

Bill Factor and Kinsey Tanner have been working on a plan for our 60th class reunion on October 2, 3, and 4, 2015.

We will be holding the event at the Vista View.  Friday will be an informal get together with pizza, drinks, and socializing from 7 to 11 PM.  This entire weekend there will be an art show in Zanesville, and those who wish can do the art walk.

Saturday there will be free open golf from 8 - 3 at Vista View with free cart.  Social plus registration from 5 - 6:30.  Buffet dinner (catered by Bill's BBQ 6:30 to 8:00 PM).  Soul Legacy group to perform for us for one hour 8-9 PM.  Dancing and socializing 9 - 12.  I remember at our 55th reunion some of us were drifting off at 10 PM.  Age does make a difference.

Sunday Service by Rev Harry Bronkar 9:30 to 11 AM.  Kim Greer, from the Tumble Weed Restaurant will be catering a Brunch Buffet for us 11 to 12.

The price for three days is $50 per person total!  It does not get any better than that!

Mark your calendars and we will see everyone in October.  Can you believe it is our 60th class reunion?

This draft for our reunion will be reviewed next month, and there may be slight changes made.  But the dates will stay the same.

I will plan on seeing everyone next month at the Golden Corral at 11:30 AM on March 10th unless the Zanesville City Schools are closed due to weather problems.

And do remember your sweetheart this Saturday. "They invented hugs to let people know you love them without saying anything." ~ Bil Keane
