LUNCH BUNCH, February 11, 2014

What a beautiful, sunny, freezing, cold winter day it is!  We made it up to 17 degrees today!  Tom Hale has commented that he has been cross country skiing almost every day during this winter wonderland.  I, on the other hand, enjoy the beautiful snow from inside my cozy home!

All of the men in our class, I am hoping, will remember their sweetheart sometime this weekend!  The actual Valentine's Day is Friday, but you can celebrate anytime this weekend!  Candy, flowers, dinner, jewelry are all okay!  Even a card will do!

I was unable to make it to the lunch today due to a nasty cold.  Martha Pettry very kindly sent me some notes and said that there were 17 brave souls who came out today for lunch.

Cornelia talked with Bill Balderson's wife today, and Bill was going home today.  His speech is getting better, but very slowly.  They are going to see how this works for them at home.  He is still doing rehab.

Gwen said that Marty Tanner is doing great with her once a month chemo!

I was sad to hear that Sondra Phillips husband, Robert, is at University Hospital.  He is on a respirator and not doing well.

Reberta Cantwell Butcher passed away Sunday, February 9.  Our sympathy goes out to her family.  Friends and family may call from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Friday, February 14, 2014 at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 Blue Ave, Zanesville.  Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, February 15, 2014.  She will be laid to rest beside her husband Ronald at Dresden Cemetery, Dresden.

Please keep all of the above in your thoughts and prayers.

I hope to see all of you at our next lunch at the Golden Corral on Tuesday, March 11 at 11:30 AM.

This is from a little book given to me by Barbara Williamson called "Springs of Humor."

Thank you to Martha Pettry for the notes today.
