LUNCH BUNCH, August 14, 2012

This turned out to be like a beautiful fall day with a high of 76 degrees!  Since we had painters at our home, Martin and I didn't make the lunch today.

I talked with Gerald Roberts.  He had a doctor's appointment and could not make the lunch either.  He sat in a cold room waiting for his doc to show up for over an hour.  Gerald was warned to stay away from Tom's Ice Cream on the way home since Mitt Romney was drawing quite a huge crowd in that area of town.

I talked with Melanie and she didn't make the lunch today either.  She had her bridge group today.

Cornelia and Bill Ferguson are in Chautauqua, New York along the Chautauqua Lake where they will be sailing their boat, attending concerts, and having a good time.

Sue Gause sent me an E-mail that Chuck and she could not make the lunch.  Chuck is getting ready to have his second cataract surgery on Wednesday.  They hope to make the September lunch, and send their best and "Hello" to everyone.  Sue sent an article dated August 2, 2012 that she wanted to share.  It stated:

Trinity Lutheran Church plans piano dedication:

ASHLAND-Trinity Lutheran Church, 508 Center Street, will have a piano dedication recital and tea at 4 p.m. on Sunday in the church home lounge.

The event celebrates the gift of a Baldwin Grand Piano from the estate of long time Ashland music educators, Joe and Judy Ansel Thomas.  Steven and Amanda Wolgast, Ron Marenchin, Mary and Rob Morgan, and Mark Koehler will each play during the recital.

What a nice gift to leave to the church in their memory!

In Sunday's Zanesville Times Recorder there were pictures of historic Zanesville during the 40's, 50's and 60's.  You can still bring up those pictures on their WEB site if you are interested.  WWW.ZANESVILLETIMESRECORDER.COM

Stay well and we hope to see everyone on September 11, 2012 at 11:30.
