Lunch Bunch, August 12, 2014

We had 24 classmates and friends present at our lunch.  It was a very rainy day and at one point, after we had eaten, the electricity went out very briefly and then came back on.

Gwen Curry was present today with her two granddaughters, Elya and Erin.  They are both living with her at the present time.  We were very happy to have young women with us today.

Bill Rushay very kindly gave the blessing.  Thank you, Bill.

Cornelia called me this morning and asked that we pray for Bill, as he is very ill.  When she knows more she will share it with us.

Bill Factor said since it is pouring down rain, we will go to Vista View next month after our lunch.  This is the Vista View Golf Course who has accommodations for 300 in their greenhouse banquet facility.  Bill is looking at it for our 60th class reunion, and wants us to give him our opinion.

Martha Pettry recommended two movies that she recently saw.  The first one is
"The Hundred-Foot Journey", a comedy drama with Rohan Chand, and Helen Miren.  It is a bit of a fable, but a fable that wants to be realistically told.

The second one is called, "And So It Goes" with Michael Douglas and Diane Keaton.

Marlene Rushay just finished reading "Sycamore Row" by John Grisham.  She said it is an excellent read.

I am looking forward to seeing all of you next month on Tuesday, September 9 at 11:30 AM at the Golden Corral.
